Office of Reunions & Reunion Giving
Mission
Statement
To help provide University of Michigan alumni with meaningful and engaging reunion weekend experiences, the Office of Reunions & Reunion Giving:
Works collaboratively through the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan (AAUM) and the Office of University Development (OUD) communities to provide campus-wide guidance and coordination during annual Homecoming and Reunion weekends. Every year, faculty, students, staff, academic units, departments, and community members develop programs and initiatives to recognize and inform alumni about the research and scholarship taking place on campus today. In addition to events that present (U-M faculty, students and alumni) discussions about focused and inter-disciplinary topics, additional programming will celebrate the history, diversity and achievements of reunion year alumni.
The Office of Reunions & Reunion Giving supports the campus-wide reunion efforts by working with the AAUM, OUD, and the Colleges/Schools to provide leadership in the following areas:
- Developing a brand identity for Reunions that will establish a graphics image, overall (theme/appearance/look), theme/appearance/look statement, and suggestions for lectures and program topics.
- Implementing a streamlined event registration process, general and targeted marketing and advertising plan, and interactive and print media products for the promotion of the collective campus wide Reunion effort.
- Programming and implementing a campus-wide (or centrally located) system of events that will speak to a diversity of constituencies and include, but not be limited to, inter-disciplinary lectures, Class dinner/gathering, key note speaker/s, closing brunches/gatherings and entertainment.
- Collaborating with alumni volunteers, faculty, students, staff, academic units, departments, and student organizations in the development and promotion of all campus-wide Reunion events and activities.
